Description

56-Furnish all necessary equipment and labor to provide, deliver and stockpile loose rock riprap, aggregate cushion, coarse gravel, and structural fill materials. The location or site of delivery is the Dakota Lake National Wildlife Refuge property, approximately five miles south of Ludden, North Dakota, T.129 N., R. 60W., Sections 34 and 35. Pricing shall include F.O.B. destination. The materials required are as follows: Item No. 01: LOOSE ROCK RIPRAP, Quantity of 860 cubic yards and shall be field stone or quarry stone meeting the requirments of Section 708.04, Riprap and Aggregate Cushion, North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (NDOTSS) and shall consist of sound, durable field stone, quarry stone, or broken concrete. Gradation: SIZE: *28", PERCENT SMALLER 80-100; *22", PERCENT SMALLER 30-80; 16", 20-50 PERCENT SMALLER, and; 10", 0-5 PERCENT SMALLER. *The maximum size of stone permitted for riprap installation shall not exceed the specified thickness of the riprap blanket by more than 6 inches. Stone of this excess size may be placed providing it does not exceed 10% of the total stone and can be blended satisfactorily into the riprap. Item No. 02: AGGREGATE CUSHION,Quantity of 370 cubic yards and shall meet the requirements of Temporary Traffic Surface Aggregate Class 8, Sieve Size 1-1/2", percent passing 100, Section 816-Aggregates, of the NDOTSS, for nominal size of 1-1/2". Item No. 03: COARSE GRAVEL, Quantity of 340 cubic yards, shall be clean rock with a nominal size of 6" with the following gradation; Sieve size 6", percent passing 100; sieve size 3", percent passing 50; sieve size 3/4", percent passing 0-10, and; sieve size No. 4, percent passing 0-5. Item No. 04: STRUCTURAL FILL, quantity 520 cubic yards, shall be select backfill as described in Section 210 -- Structural Excavation, Structural Fill, and Foundation Preparation, of NDOTSS: testing results fo structural fill soil properties must meet sieve analysis according to AASHTO T-27, maximum dry density and optimum moisture according to AASHTO T-99, Liquid limit according to AASHTO T-89, and plastic limit and plasticity index according to AASHTO T-90. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals, issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the changes effective October 11, 2000, Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20.
