Description
The U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command intends to conduct negotiations with and award a contract to SensorMedics, 22705 Savi Ranch Parkway, Yorba Linda, California 92887-4645 on a basis of other than full and open competition, reference FAR 6.302-1(a) for one (1) SensorMedics VMAX Series 229D; console w/cables isolation Xformer, kit gas/hoses cart/console VMAX229, support arm VMAX cart/console, enhanced parallel card VMAX, cmptr assy w/17 MON 115V GS200-866, SWR DLCO exercise diffusion, SWR package vision research option, calibration syringe, (OBS)HP 89X printer VMAX (USB), gas kit calibration cart/cnsl VMAX, gas .3%CO .3%CH4 21%02 BAL N2 (ED), site install and trng (2) VMAX229, gas .3CO .3CH4, .3C2H2 2102 BAL N2, starling resistor. SensorMedics makes the only metabolic cart/respiratory-cardiovascular system that is compatible with the USARIEM computerized data acquisition systems and other similar SensorMedics metabolic carts. The proprietary 02 & CO2 sensors tied in with system software are not available from the other metabolic systems investigated. The SensorMedics system is only one capable of metabolic analysis down to 5C (41F) required for cold air protocols needed in Division STO requirements. No solicitation document is available.
