Description

Sources Sought. Bechtel Nevada is seeking sources capable of providing Geotechnical Testing Laboratory services to included to recover samples/sample preparation, test samples, and report findings. Test objectives are to address two aspects of alluvium behavior: the time-dependency of the stress-strain relations (i.e. creep behavior), and the effect of sample size on strength and deformation (i.e. scale effect), using triaxial tests. Core sizes will vary from 2" to 20.5" diameter. This project is expected to exceed $100,000. Minimum qualifications for the Laboratory include minimum 10 years soil and rock testing experience, with special emphasis on tests that derive engineering properties of soils and rocks. Please submit a brief company resume which shows past experience and includes at least three projects (with references) of similar size and scope.
