Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitute the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR Part 12. The NAICS (formerly called SIC) code for this procurement is 421690 (100 employees for small business). The US Dept of the Interior, Minerals Management Service, GovWorks intends to procure the following switch equipment, FOB Destination (shipping costs must be included in the fixed price quotation), Redstone Technical Test Center, Huntsville, AL, delivery 30 days after receipt of Government purchase order: 1 ea #B8000 -- BigIron 8000, 8-slot Chassis with 1 RPS3 Power Supply; 1 ea -- #B8GMR3-8LX, BigIron Mgmt III Module with 8-port Gig Ethernet Module, with 8 LX (9 or 10 SM Fiber) Gig Optics; 2 ea -- #B8G-8LX, BigIron/NetIron 400/800 24-port 10/100BaseRX (RJ45) Ethernet Module; 2 ea -- #Be4E, BigIron/NetIron 400/800 24-port 10/100 Base RX (RJ45) Ethernet Module; 3 ea -- #FIW4802, FastIron WG 48-port 10/100 with 3 GBIC Slots (1 power supply included); and 3 ea -- #E1MG-LX, 1000 Base-LX mini-GBIC option, SMF, LC connector. All quotations shall be received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis to be considered bythe Government. This date will not be extended. No solicitation document exists for this requirement. The following FAR provisions apply: 52,212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5. Offerors must include a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offereor Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with its offer. The Government shall not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing a response to this notice.
