Description

Request for Proposal # IX-01-01 for the continued operation of the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center located in Reno, NV will be made available on December 13, 2000, by written request to the Agency, and on the Job Corps Acquisition Home Page (http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule). Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. Contractors will manage and operate a Government leased facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, outreach, admissions, career development services, and health care services in accordance with the aplicable DOL/Job Corps regulations and policy handbook and other applicable federal regulations. Copies are available at the above mentioned web site. The center is located at 5005 Echo Ave., Reno, NV 89506. The contract capacity is for approximately 290 males residential, 10 male non-residential, 255 female residential, 15 non-residential, for a total capacity of 570 trainees. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost plus fixed-fee contract for a two year period from September 1, 2001 through August 31, 2003, plus three performance based options of one year each. There will be a walk through of the Sierra facility that will convene on January 09, 2001 at 10:00 AM (PST) followed immediately by a pre-proposal conference to be held on center. The RFP will consist of a written submission in accordance with instructions provided in Section L of the RFP. It is recommedned that you download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-porposal Conference. All questions related to this procurement shall be submitted in writhing to the Contracting Officer prior to the Pre-proposal conference. Proposals are due no later than 2:00 PM (PST) February 16, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
