Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, North Central Regional Office, is seeking information from firms having the capability of delivering directly, and/or arranging for the delivery of a broad range of hospital and medical services required for inmates in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prison's (BOP) United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) in Springfield, MO. USMCFP Springfield is a 587-bed federal hospital operated by BOP that provides inpatient and outpatient hospital care and outpatient medical services to inmates incarcerated there. The hospital has a need to contract with one or more private providers to supplement services performed by it's own personnel. In addition to inpatient and outpatient hospital and medical services to be performed in the contractor's facilities in the community, requirements call for the contractor to deliver certain services on-site at BOP's facility. The institution is seeking information on firms having the capability of organizing a network of community providers within approximately a 75-mile radius of Springfield, Missouri that will enable BOP to place all, or most of it's requirements with a single source. Information is sought on: -- clinical capabilities; -- the capability to organize a provider network within the service area; -- capabilities of generating consolidated bills using current Medicare billing and reimbursement approaches; and -- telemedicine capabilities.
