Description
The Commandant of Naval District Washington seeks the establishment of a full service bank at the historic Washington Navy Yard (WNY). Our goal is to establish a more attractive work environment as well as provide additional financial services to our military and civilian workforce. We are soliciting informational packages from interested members of the financial community. Our selection will be based on the best overall value to the Government as demonstrated by the financial services and products provided. A copy of the questionnaire can be obtained from Mark Fitzurka at (202) 433-3646. In evaluating the informational packages, the Department of the Navy will consider the following elements, all of which are important. a. Background Information b. Financial Services c. Loan Services d. Saving Services e. Additional Information/Past Performance A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, 29 November 2000, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. This visit will provide you an opportunity to inspect the proposed office location and discuss logistics and support. Please contact Mark Fitzurka by 28 November 2000 if interested in attending the site visit. The Department of the Navy (DON) will grant final approval based upon the Commandant of the Naval District Washington, Washington Navy Yard, District of Columbia, evaluation of the proposals received. If selected, your bank will be required to follow the policies outlined in the Department of Defense (DOD) Directive and the DOD Financial Management Regulation (FMR). The applicable DOD Directive and DOD FMR may be obtained from the world-wide-web at http://web7.whs.osd.mil/pdf/d100011p.pdf and http://www.dtic.mil/comptroller/fmr/05/05_34.pdf respectively. In order to be considered your informational package must be received at our office above by Monday, 08 January 2001. The questionnaire from our office may be used as your informational package.
