Description
The U. S. Coast Guard intends to modify contract number DTCG38-97-D-100005 to extend the option periods. The first extended year option will begin 07/01/02 and end 06/30/03 with four additional one year option periods renewable annually. If all option years are exercised the contract will be extended from 07/01/02 through 06/30/07. This fixed price requirements contract is for the rework of the ATF3-6 turbofan engine, NSN 2840-01-HR1-5094, P/N 3003200-1, used on the HU25 aircraft. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, parts, material, tooling, test equipment, reports, and facilities to rework, modify, test and inspect the ATF3-6 engine. Delivery leadtime to ARSC, Elizabeth City, NC or other specified operating units is 180 days after receipt of material. For this contract modification, the USCG intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the manufacturer, Honeywell International, Defense and Space, 1300 West Warner Road, Tempe, AZ 85285-2200, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. All rework data and specifications are proprietary to the manufacturer and are not available through the Coast Guard. See Notes 22 and 26.
