WHEN REQUESTING SOLICITATION PACKAGE, PLEASE REFERENCE SOLICITATION NO. RBH00010002. Procurement is "FULL AND OPEN" COMPETITION (NOT A "BUY INDIAN" SET ASIDE). Road Construction Project FAIR 70 (3): Grade, Drain, Pulverize Existing Bituminous Surface, Blend Pulverized Material with Existing Aggregate Base, Place Aggregate Base Leveling Course, Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Final Fog Seal and Pavement Marking on 1.180 km of Roadway on BIA Route 70; AND Pavement Marking on 0.154 km of Roadway on BIA Route 551 on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, Navajo County, Arizona. Project site is approximately 220 miles N.E. of Phoenix, Arizona on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25USC 450e) will apply in regard to the SUBCONTRACTS for this project -- Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25USC 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan Native individuals and that preference in award of SUBCONTRACTS be given to Indian/Alaskan Native economic enterprises.
