Description
This is a notice of Naval Air Systems Command's (NAVAIR) intent to negotiate with Concorde Battery Corp., 2009 San Bernardino Road, West Covina, CA 91790-1006, on an other than full and open competitive basis to produce the D8565/6-1 Battery and the D8565/7-2 Battery which are required for the V-22 Aircraft. The Government intends to negotiate with Concorde Battery Corp. on an other than full and open competitive basis due to the contractor's status as the only qualified manufacturer. Successful completion and qualification testing to demonstrate compliance with MIL-B-8565 and DoD-B-8565/6 are mandatory for the batteries. The batteries are used as a backup power source for a flight critical component on the V-22 Aircraft. Written requests for copies of Request for Quotation may be faxed to (301) 757-5284 to the attention of LT. Tom Neville. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency. See Number Note: 22 (sole source)
