Description

The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, FL 32407-7001 intends to issue a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Seacon Brantner & Asso, 1420 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020, for components for underwater electrical cable. The components consist of Backshells, Inserts, Pigtails, and Pressure Caps. This is a sole source to Seacon Brantner to insure compatability between the connectors in mechanical tolerances and open face pressure specifications. To change the existing marine hardware would mean large product testing delays and a great cost to both projects in man hours and money.
