Description

The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Malaria Program, Naval Medical Research Center, Bldg. 503, Forney Drive (WRAMC Annex), Silver Spring, MD 20910. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced purchase order to Caribbean Primate Research P.O. Box 1053 Sabana Seca, Puerto Rico 00952 based on the Malaria Program's urgency and the availability of the rhesus monkeys from Caribbean Primate Research. The following will be procured: CLIN 0001: Fourteen (14) each Rhesus monkeys, monkeys to be of lineage from Indian rhesus monkeys, either sex, three to five(3-5)years of age, not infected with retrovirus, in good general health and seronegative for retroviral and malaria infections. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR)database to be able to receive an award from the Government (DFAR 252.204-7004). This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
