Description

The U.S. Government Printing Office has a requirement to procure a sign language interpreter for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am -- 4pm. The contractor shall also provide in addition to the Tuesdays and Thursdays interpreters on an as needed basis for intermittent services when regular day interpreters are unavailable. The services required are specifically to conduct sign language and oral translation interpretations for the deaf and hard of hearing employees and/or visitors. The interpreter will be responsible for interpreting conferences, supervisor interactions and other miscellaneous interactions/activities. The interpreters shall be a certified member in good standing of RID and hold a valid certificate (Interpretation and/or Transliteration) from the RID at time of application. There will be a pre-award interview which will be conducted by a panel of deaf and hearing people along with the contracting officer. The period of performance will begin February 1, 2001 -- January 31, 2002. NOTE: Limited number of copies available, will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.
