Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to procure the services of a Laboratory to perform Mutation Analysis of MEN1 Gene (50 patients). The laboratory must have CLIA approval as a DNA Diagnostic Laboratory. The lab should have experience in design and implementation of mutation scanning method (sequencing) for patient diagnosis. The sensitivity and specificity of the methods proposed for MEN1 should have been established and documented in the same laboratory and with the same methods, by tests for MEN1 or other genetic disorders. The specific tasks and Government responsibility will be included in the Request for Quote (RFQ). The laboratory service will be for a Base Year with a (1) year option. Vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the services described above may request a copy of the RFQ in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-01-604 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten days (10) after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is December 21, 2000.
