Description

NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Configuration and Data Management Services to include Data Requirements Management, Engineering Drawing Checking, and Operation of the MSFC Release Desk. The Government anticipates the award of a Cost-Plus-Incentive-Fee contract with a one year base period of performance and four one-year options. The provisions and clauses in the RFP are those in effect through FAC 97-20. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1000, respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. A draft version of RFP 8-1-0-E4-C9392 shall be released for industry comment on or about December 5, 2000. The anticipated release date of the Final RFP 8-1-0-E4-C90392 is on or about January 9, 2001, with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about February 20, 2001. NASA/MSFC plans to hold an Industry Briefing, details of which shall be provided at the time of the release of the draft RFP. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
