- Description
- This project will provide a Vehicle Maintenance Shop, a Deployment Storage Building, and a building addition for the storage of boats and motors to be located with the 5th Special Forces Group maintenance compound. Supporting site and civil work for this project will consist of clearing and grading the existing site to fit the proposed buildings, and placing concrete loading docks, aprons, stoops, sidewalks, bituminous parking, loading area and driveways. Utilities include potable and fire water, gas, sewer, electric, and communications. The buildings to be constructed are as follows: Vehicle Maintenance Shop will be 1610 s.m. -- steel structural frame, supporting insulated metal siding panels, and a pre-finished metal panel roof system, with smu masonry veneer exterior wall. Interior walls on the lower level will be painted cmu and painted gypsum board over metal stud framing on the second level. Suspended acoustical ceiling tile will be provided in the administrative areas. Deployment Storage Bilding -- Structual steel frame supporting pre-finished metal wall and roof panels. Twelve bay structure with overhead coiling door and passage door in each bay. Boat and Motor Storage Addition -- Steel frame structure with concrete masonry cavity wall with concrete floors. Overhead coiling door to be provided. Facilities will include HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and compressed air. The electrical load for the facility is estimated to be 200 kVA. Communications will consist of 100 pair copper cable and 12 strands of fiber optic cable. This project will be solicited as a Request for Proposal and offers will be evaluated on the following basis: Administrative/Management Information, Past Performance Information, Price, Proposed Schedule and Performance Capabilities. Estimated value is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation to be issued on or about 8 December 2000. Proposals will be due on or about 9 January 2001, 4:30 p.m. local time.
