Description

The National Park Service, Denver Service Center, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government will consider an offeror's technical capability to be significantly more important than its price and will select the contractor whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. The work of this contract consists of the general renovation/restoration of 6 existing adobe buildings and 1 existing wood building; construction of new auto Shop (CC-348), Administration Building (CC-316) and Warehouse (CC-118); and 4 new shade structures; sitework, including wall enclosure, paving and landscaping. Temporary facilities are required. This solicitation is open to large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Because this acquisition could result in an award over $1,000,000, a subcontracting plan will be required by the selected firm, if the firm is a large business concern. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about December 12, 2000. Proposal receipt date of January 12, 2001, is approximate; actual date will be established at the time documents are available. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The estimated completion date is October 31, 2002. A preproposal conference will be held on December 12, 2000, at 10:00 am, at the existing Cow Creek Maintenance Facility, Cow Creek, Death Valley National Park, California 92328-0579. Award of a single contract will be made to the best value offeror.
