Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to negotiate with Lloyd A. Currie of 215 Rolling Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, on a sole source basis to perform an assessment of the current practices used for iodine analysis in a OA sponsor laboratory system and to prepare a draft report summarizing the current practices and recommending any future steps for the analysis process. This acquisition will be accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting From a Single Source. The Contractor has extensive experience in detection limits and quality assurance procedures and has gained valuable experience working on similar topics which will allow him to efficiently and insightfully evaluate the complex measurement issues raised by the OA. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order will be awarded by December 1, 2000. Expected period of performance is from the date of award to May 1, 2001. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available.
