- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a contract to Litton Life Systems for the non-recurring engineering effort associated with an Affordable Readiness Initiative (ARI) to develop/repackage the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) oxygen concentrator as a form, fit, function replacement for the GGU-7/A concentrator currently used in the AV-8B and T45 aircraft. This concentrator will have a guaranteed Mean Flight Hours/Verified Failures of at least 4500 hours. The maintenance concept will be Organizational to Commercial Depot Level repair with place-in-service/test-and-check ability at the Intermediate Level utilizing existing support equipment. The funding profile for this program will be $350K in FY01. Litton Life Support, P.O. Box 4508, Davenport IA, 52808-4508 is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the JPATS oxygen concentrator and the only firm possessing the knowledge, facilities, equipment, and technical data necessary to perform the engineering effort associated with developing and repackaging the JPATS oxygen concentrator.
