- Description
- 59 -- PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD-SOURCES SOUGHT. The U.S. Navy has a need to identify potential sources with the capability to provide the following: Manufacturing and facilities capable of fabrication and production of approximately 170 single layer, double sided Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). The three different types of PCB design range in complexity from simple (relative to number of components and type of components populating the PCB) to medium complexity. The PCBs will be utilized in a Versa Module European (VME) backplane. Critical Measures of Performance includes minimum "crosstalk" and signal bleedthrough within the circuits on each PCB, with thresholds provided and identified within a current set of Test Procedures available from the Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division (NAWCTSD), Orlando, FL. The source must be capable of production and delivery of all PCBs nine months after contract award, tentatively scheduled for third quarter, fiscal year 2001. The PCBs will be integrated into the Improved Battle Force Tactical Team Trainer (BFTT) for the Digital Voice component of shipboard internal/external communications system. A security clearance at the level of Confidential will be required for contractor personnel to conduct testing at NAWCTSD. Additionally, all interested sources should identify any circuit card fabrication and manufacturing process certifications held (e.g. ISO 9000). This sources sought synopsis does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Suppliers capable of providing these PCBs should provide their written response to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Center (Attn: Code 25331:Hostetter), 12350 Research Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826. Faxed responses may be sent to the attention of 25331:Hostetter,on 407-380-4164. The deadline for receipt of responses to this office is 11 December 2000.
