Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) desires to procure a patient medication information database with updates. VA medical centers and the Consolidated Mail Out Pharmacy will use the patient medication information (PMI) to print medication information inserts, which are provided to patients with their prescriptions. The VA intends to incorporate the PMI database into the VA National Drug File database (NDF) that is accessed by VA facilities throughout the country using the VISTA network. The VA's requirement is for the PMI database only. The VA will develop the software to read the PMI database and subsequent updats to the NDF database. The individual VA sites will further access this database.
