- Description
- Under authority of U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland intends to negotiate a contract with Agilent Technologies, Inc., 3500 Deer Creek Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304, for an Integrated Microarray Scanner System. The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument. The Contractor shall furnish, deliver and install the Integrated Microarray Scanner System which shall include, but not be limited to, the following: (1) Microarray platform, (2) State-of-the-art laser induced fluorophor excitation, (3) Low level detection capabilities (exceedingly sensitive), (4) High dynamic range, (5) Minimal spectral cross-talk, (6) Shall provide for scanners with patented dynamic autofocusing capabilities (requires the sharpest focus possible). (7) The system shall also offer extremely high filter rejection of the illuminating laser light. (8) One day of training shall be furnished at no additional cost to the Government. (9) Upgrades to the scanner and software shall be furnished at no additional cost to the Government. Information furnished should include enough material to allow the Agency to perform a proper evaluation. Concerns that respond to this synopsis shall furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above and are invited to submit capability statements in an ORIGINAL PLUS TWO (2) copies no later than FIFTEEN (15) business days from the date of this announcement. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Written responses shall include complete description of the services to be provided, containing sufficient technical information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the stated requirements as listed above.
