Description

The Government proposes to modify the existing Cockpit Management System (CMS) Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) Justification and Approval (J&A) document and Contract to increase the dollar threshold and to include system engineering support for the MH-60L, MH-47D, MH-47G and A/MH-6 aircraft. The proposed action will result in the Govenment's ability to issue additional task orders against the existing contract. The existing contract and modification are for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate task orders with only the current contractor, Rockwell Collins, Inc., Government Systems, Cedar Rapids, IA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Rockwell is the manfacturer of the majority of the critical components of the system. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 15 DEC 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The J&A, Contract and subsequent Modifications are releasable to U.S. firms only. Requests from U. S. firms must be submitted in writing to the above address and must include business size. All resonsible U.S. sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note 26.
