Description

This synopsis is a request for information submitted under paragraph 15.202 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This directive prescribes Government agencies may solicit information for planning purposes, and requests are properly identified. Accordingly, this is neither a request for proposal, nor a solicitation under the sealed bid procedures. No award will be made based on information received hereunder, and no payment will be made for any costs incurred as a result of responses to this request. The 18th Contracting Squadron at Kadena AB, Japan proposes to award an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for freight consolidation services. This consists of containerizing commodity items delivered from CONUS vendors and providing shipping services from a CONUS west coast shipping port directly to Kadena AB, Japan. This synopsis is to gather information to determine if there are adequate sources capable of providing the necessary service. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. Interested businesses are required to submit their written statement of capabilities, excluding resumes, to the 18th Contracting Squadron, Unit 5199, APO AP 96368-5199 within 30 days of publication of this notice.
