Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs will advertise an opportunity to remodel parts of Bldg. 126 & 150 (app. 85,000 GSF) and upon completion, abate asbestos/lead and demolish Bldg. 122 (app. 300,000 GSF) at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. The purpose of this announcement is to determine if there are qualified small business firms interested in competing for this project. The Departments goal is to award, of a single fixed price contract to a Small Business contractor with extensive prior experience in renovating health care facilities and demolishing existing health care buildings. -- Request for Proposal-negotiated procurement method will be used based on technical and Price Proposals (Best value). Contract award is proposed for March of 2001. THIS ADD IS TO DETERMINE SMALL BUSINESS INTEREST ONLY.
