Description

FSC 3950 WINCHES HOISTS CRANES AND DERRICKS -- The US Army Corps of Engineers St Paul District plans to acquire, by commercial item procedures, hydraulic tow haulage units for locks on the Mississippi River. This procurement is to be set aside 100% for small business and awarded to the lowest priced technically acceptable quotation received from a small business. The applicable NAICS code is 333999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The requirement includes a basic item purchase of two (2) hydraulic tow haulage units, two (2) lots of spare parts and a witness test. There will be eight (8) option items that each include the purchase of one hydraulic tow haulage unit and a lot of spare parts. The options can be exercised at anytime after contract award through 31 December 2005. Estimated order of magnitude of the requirement (including options) is between $500,000 and $1,500,000. It is anticipated that the formal Request for Quotation (RFQ) DACW37-01-Q-0009 will be posted to the US Army Corps of Engineers St Paul District World Wide Web site at http://mvpwww.mvp.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or before 11 December 2000. The Government intends to provide the solicitation and all amendments via the aforementioned web site only. All potential quoters are encouraged to register at this web site under this RFQ number for e-mail message notification of the posting of the solicitation and all amendments.
