Description
A draft copy of the Request for Offer (RFO) for the NASA-wide Cost Per Copy Procurement will be released for industry comment on or around December 20, 2000. Approximately 30 days will be allotted for industry to submit comments to NASA. This procurement is for digital copier services for 10 NASA centers, locations, associated facilities, and tenants throughout the United States. It is estimated that 2215 digital standalone copiers, 135 networked copiers, supplies, toner, service, maintenance, and training will be required. NASA will also require pricing for potential upgrades of the standalone digital copiers to networked units. The resulting contract will be a Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Performance-based, Commercial items contract. The draft RFO will include the contract schedule, performance work statement, and the experience and past performance questionnaire. This procurement will utilize full and open competition. Please submit all requests for the draft RFO to Ms. Suzanne Shaw, Contract Specialist, Code 212, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD 20771. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 333315 and 500 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-20. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
