- Description
- The Little Rock District, Corps of Engineers (LRD, COE), Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking 8(a) construction concerns operating within the Arkansas State boundary that are able to execute the following construction project -- The 61st C-130 Squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance Unit (Sq Ops/AMU) facility, Little Rock Air Force Base [an approximately 4,645 square meter (50,000 square foot) office building.] Construction consists of: steel framed structure with light-gauge metal trusses, light-gauge metal interior and exterior drywall partitions, masonry veneer, standing seam metal roof, fixed auditorium seating, HVAC, driveways, parking lot extension, exterior and interior electrical systems, extension of base fiber optic EMCS system, re-routing of base electrical system, and the demolition of existing facilities. The cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 -- for a Firm Fixed Price Contract -- project duration is approximately 540 calendar days. The North American Industry Standard Classification System Code is 233320 and the annual size standard is $27.5 million. 8(a) General Contractors should respond in writing no later than December 12, 2000. The written response shall provide the following information: bonding limitation, capacity, and current availability, the firm's dollar limit for bid guarantee/performance guarantee capacity, provide a minimum of three references with same or similar type work that is currently in progress, or that has been successfully completed. Also provide a statement as to your intent to submit a bid and if you are highly interested, moderately interested or just curious. Lack of detailed responses to the above requested information may result in the action being issued unrestricted. This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought (SS) Notice is for information and planning purposes only, and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal, announcement of a solicitation, or other obligation on the part of the LRD, COE. The LRD, COE will not award a contract on the basis of responses to this RFI/SS nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted.
