Description

Voyageurs National Park is looking to lease a U.S. Coast Guard certified tour boat with a capacity of 49 passengers. It must be delivered and unloaded at the Park's Rainy Lake Visitor Center near International Falls, Minnesota by May 1, 2001. Boat must be 1991 or newer with steel, aluminum, or fiberglass "V" or modified "V" hull. Boat must be powered by twin screw propeller or jet drive diesel powered units and have a maximum draft of four feet. Boat must be capable of performing safely in three-foot lake swells with 49 passengers aboard at 12 miles per hour. Boat must have an enclosed lower deck with seating for 49 passengers and an open upper observation deck capable of supporting 25 people. Lower deck must be handicap accessible. Boat must be equipped with a marine radio, depth finder, and a PA system for both decks. Boat must be in good condition and fully ready for lake touring operations at the time of delivery.
