Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to issue a restricted solicitation to provide a conveyor that will directly support the onload and offload of supplies to U.S. Navy ships pierside. The conveyor must have a minimum 35 foot belt length with a load capacity of not less than 2,000 pounds with a belt speed of 40 to 60 feet per minute. The conveyor must be able to be set-up and secured within 10 minutes or less and must be readily portable. Ideally, it should operate off of its own power source, although, shore power cables are available but may limit the use and mobility. The Government intends to negotiate with Fortbrand Services. Delivery under the contract will be FOB Destination (San Diego CA). Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-(b)(1), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." See numbered note(s) 22.
