Background "ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SUBCONTRACTING INFO PURPOSE ONLY -- NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. The Lease Agreement for Air Force Plant 44, Tucson, AZ, awarded to Raytheon Systems Company by the USAF/AFMC Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) is a sole source follow-on contractual action to provide for the following projects on a cost reimbursement basis: RESTORATION -- Groundwater Remediation O&M (ACHA015001), Shallow Groundwater O&M (ACHA015003); ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE -- Provide Compliance Monitoring (44920104Z0), Front of the Line Waste Treatment System (ACHA017C01); Clean-up Historic Unused Solid Waste Management Units; Provide Stormwater and Remediation Protection; POLLUTION PREVENTION -- HAZMAT Elimination (ACHA01PV01), Appliques for Missiles (ACHA01PV03), Elimination of Methylenedianiline (ACHA01PV04); CAPITAL TYPE REHABILITATION (Representative List) -- Implement Automated Civil Engineer System (ACES), Rehabilitate Obsolete Fire Protection Systems Bldg 801, Replace VFDs on Production Support Air Handlers Bldg 801, Replace Deteriorated Air Compressor System BLDG 862, Provide Thermal Storage Capacity to Support Production Bldgs 801,809, & 814, Provide Functional Upgrades to Plant Protection BLDG 828, Refurbish Roofing Systems Bldgs 814,816, & 817, Replace Deteriorated Transformers, Rehabilitate Asphalt Paving within Fenced Area Adjacent Bldg 801, Replace Evaporative Coolers Bldgs 830 & 833, Replace Roof Exhausters Serving Cafeteria Bldg 801, Upgrade Load Capacity of Airstrip Serving, Rehabilitate Deteriorated FACO Magazine Covers, Rehabilitate Cooling Towers Bldgs 834 & 835. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to request information. Ombudsman is Mr. Stephen Plaisted, ASC/SY at (937) 255-9095.
