Description

AMCOM proposes to procure Strap Packs, Part Number 7-511411146-1, for the Apache AH-64 A and D Models from the manufacturer McDonnell Douglas Helicopter System (MDHS), an indirect subsidiary of The Boeing Company. The nature of this contractual action will be issued a sole source, firm fixed price contract with MDHC. The Strap Pack is a commercial product developed by MDHC and the technical data is proprietary to the manufacturer. No technical data package is available to support acquisition of the strap pack from any contractor other than MDHC. The basic requirement is for 2,100 Strap Packs in support of the Apache Project Office. The planned delivery schedule is October 2002 through April 2005. This requirement also includes a range option for spare part requirements. The range option will be for an additional maximum quantity of 600 Strap Packs in Fiscal Year (FY) 01 and an additional maximum quantity of 300 Strap Packs in FY 02. See Notes 22 and 23.
