- Description
- Addendum to NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space Science" (NRA 00-OSS-01): The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Space Science is releasing an addendum to NRA 00-OSS-01, for community consideration for those interested in participation in the Mars Global Surveyor Guest Observer Program (MGSGOP). The intent of this program is to enhance the scientific return from the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mission by allowing investigators who are not part of the MGS Mission to propose new scientific investigations that require new observations by MGS in its extended mission phase. The extended mission phase is planned for February 1, 2001 through April 22, 2001. The MGSGOP supports scientific investigations using data obtained during and after the aerobraking phase of MGS. This addendum is found by opening the amendment section of NRA 00-OSS-01. Participation is open to all categories of organizations, foreign and domestic, including industry, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, NASA centers, and other Government agencies.
