NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) laboratory facility in Morgantown, WV intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with York International Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA to furnish and mount a York Millennium Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Retrofit for Chiller #1 including the York 519-92 electronic filter. (Chiller Model No: YT C3 C3-CKF) Services include all labor and material for cooling water supply to the VSD; power wiring between the VSD and the compressor drive motor; necessary machine mounted sensors, transducers, and other control devices to control the chiller and VSD; interface for control panel with VSD; start-up and commissioning services; operator training; and a one year parts and labor warranty. The variable speed control acquired must be compatible with the existing York control panel including the system's sensors and all the related control devices to operate it. The government intends to purchase from the equipment manufacturer to ensure that all current warranties with the manufacturer are not compromised. However, if there are vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements, including warranties, they are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures and references to Brenda L.
