Description
NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for employees to attend the 39th annual AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Conference in Reno, Nevada during the period of January 5-11, 2001. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC employees will participate in this conference for the purpose of gaining knowledge on new technical and state-of-the art topics on aerospace sciences and aircraft design, as well as future trends, and the current impact of aerodynamic design. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing or by fax to Ms. Terry Cobb, NASA/LaRC, M/S 126, 9 Langley Blvd., Hampton, VA 23681; the fax number 757-864-6966, not later than 4:00p.m. local time on DECEMBER 6, 2000. Such capabilites/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
