Description

The Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie anticipates the reissuance of Solicitation Number R9-21-00-38 under Solicitation Number R9-21-01-03 for the construction of the administrative complex near Wilmington, Will County, Illinois. The project will consist of a 12,000 SF office building; a 5,400 SF multi-use building; parking for 86 vehicles; a wetland sewage treatment system, a new well, and site amenities such as landscaping, site trail, utilities, and retention ponds. In addition, a 9,000 SF machine shed will be requested as an additive item, if funding permits. The project includes some engineering and design work as well as full construction of the administrative complex. The contract time is 360 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed which is anticipated no later than March 30, 2001. The government estimate for the project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Drawings and specifications will be available on or about January 8, 2001 for a nonrefundable cost of $100.00. Checks or money orders should be made out to the USDA, Forest Service and sent to the Monongahela National Forest; 200 Sycamore Street; Elkins, WV 26241-3962; along with a mailing address and phone number. Please reference Solicitation Number R9-21-01-03 in your request. Those parties previously on the planholders list from the original Solicitation Number R9-21-00-38 need not resubmit a request or funds for the drawings and specifications. They will automatically be included in all distributions of information. All responsible parties may submit a proposal for consideration.
