Description

TACOM-RI is preparing a solicitation for a five year Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract to procure the following items: 1. Armored Periscope, NSN 1240-01-319-5340, Part Number 12357841; Armored Periscope, NSN 6650-01-320-5628, Part Number 12357848; Armored Periscope, NSN 1240-01-319-5339, Part Number 12357840. These items are for use on the Abrams Tank. Total estimated requirements for all five years are 16,250. The "guaranteed minimum" quantities for each item are as follows: NSN 1240-01-319-5340, 408 each; NSN 6650-01-320-5628, 300 each; NSN 1240-01-319-5339, 300 each. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is December 18, 2000. All or part of this requirement is an unfunded requirement for FY2001, FY2002, FY2003, FY2004, and FY2005. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
