Description

The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, intends to modify existing contract N00019-99-C-0133, with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Corporation (LMASC), to provide for design, integration, and installation of the AN/AGM-32B (V2) Maverick Plus system into two S-3B Integrated Avionics Maintenance Trainers (IATs). Said trainers are located at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA and NAS Jacksonville, FL. This effort includes design and integration of a modified aircraft kit (which includes 4 units -- Control Display Navigation Unit, Advanced Missile Interface Box, Joystick controller, and Digital Data Set) and wiring said kit into the two IATs, as well as updating technical and software publications. As the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the S-3B aircraft and the developer and prime integrator of the initial S-3B Communications Improvement Program development, LMASC is the only known source to perform the subject effort.
