Description
The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract with firm fixed unit prices for an estimated quantity of thirty (30) High Pressure Air Compressors (HPAC)/Dehydrators as required by the Supervisor of Shipbuilding and Conversion, Newport News, VA for subsequently installation onboard Naval Aircraft. The HPACs shall have a capacity of 80 scfm, with and operating discharge of 4200 psig. Navy standard conditions for capacity measurements of 68 degrees Fahrenheit, 14.7 psia, and 36% relative humidity apply. Only high pressure air compressors/dehydrators that have completed the Navy administered and NAVSEA approved 4000 hour reliability test will be considered for award. Written approval and proof of successful completion of the NAVSEA test shall be submitted with each offer. The resulting contract will have a base 12 month ordering period with an estimated quantity of 12 each with two one-year options with est. qty. of 10 and 8 each respectively. All interested parties must submit technical proposals including past performance information and pricing data to the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is 8 Dec 00. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency.
