Description
DESC: Architect Engineer Services: Indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for design of miscellaneous projects for Air National Guard Base, Meridian, Mississippi. Scope of Services: Architect and Engineering services are required to provide Type "A" Services (soil borings, site development, cost analysis, alternative designs), Type "B" Services (actual project design in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations), Type "C" Services (construction inspection) for maintenance and repair projects, alterations and additions to existing facilities. These projects will require multidiscipline- engineering services in investigative, design, and inspection. List of proposed projects as follows: Renovation of Building 300, Design 248th ATC Facility, Base Street Repair and Overlay, Base Underground Electrical System, Relocation of Base Entrance, and Security Police Training Facility. The services required for each project will be negotiated under a separate delivery order. Evaluation factors: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services. 2. Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required, including where appropriate, experience in energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and the use of recovered materials. 3. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time. 4. Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules. 5. Location in general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; provided, that application of this criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project. 6. Volume of DOD work in the past 12 months. Any resultant contract will be for a period of one year and up to two option years. The maximum amount paid for each delivery order will not exceed $500,000. However, the Contracting Officer may elect to exceed this amount if it is determined appropriate. The cumulative amount of delivery orders will not exceed $2,000,000 per year. A/E firms located outside the commuting distance (90 Miles) of Meridian, Mississippi that wish to be considered must be willing to establish a temporary branch office within the commuting distance. The government will not pay out of town travel. A single contract is to be awarded from this solicitation. Firms desiring consideration shall submit Standard Form 254 and 255 to Lt. Col. Jeffrey C. Follett, 6225 M Street, Meridian, Mississippi 39307-7112 to be received no later than the close of business hours on January 04, 2001. Include the number and dollar value of the A/E contracts awarded by the Air National Guard and DOD agencies (include the previous year if the previous year is less than 6 months). Also include copies of any government evaluation reports showing performance on past work if available. The Standard Industrial Classification is 8711, Engineering Services.
