Description

This sources sought announcement is issued for the purpose of identifying sources for Engineering and Technical Support Services for SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston Detachment Norfolk, Virginia in support of the following tasks: In-Service Engineering; Design Development; Test and Evaluation; Configuration Management; Integrated Logistics Support, Technical Documentation and Data Management; Acquisition and Prototype Development; Reliability, Maintainability, Availability; Failure Analysis; Training; Technical Support; Land Based Test Facilities; Installations; Field Services; Shipboard Navigation Systems Certifications; Depot Repair; and Cannibalization for the following equipment: AN/WSN-1, 2, 2A, 3, 5, 6, 7, 7A, and 7B Navigation Equipment; IP-1746/7 Control Display Units (CDU); AN/SSQ-121 Computer Aided Dead Reckoning Tracer (CADRT); AN/WQN-2 Doppler Sonar Velocity Log (DSVL) and all peripheral Navigation aids and related test equipment. All firms interested in this acquisition are invited to provide comments by 3:00 PM EDT on 15 Dec 2000 (see e-mail/fax number below). The government is NOT soliciting proposals at this time. The intent of this notice is to conduct market research for potential offerors. As part of market research, interested parties are requested to provide the following information: (1) Name and address of firm, (2) Size of business including average annual revenue for the past three years, (3) Ownership: Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Women-Owned, Hubzone and/or Veteran owned, (4) Number of years in business, (5) List of customers within the past 5 years which involved relevant work, including a summary of work performed, contract number, contract type, dollar value, and customer point of contact/phone number for each reference. This market research information is limited to no more than 10 pages of data (total) and should be prepared in font size of at least 10 pitch. The proposed contract type is Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (IDIQ CPFF). The proposed contract will be for a base year with four one-year options.
