Description
The National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD is seeking sources to provide One (1) Hotel Room for the period 01 January 2001 through 30 September 2001. Room is to be available every night through 30 September 2001. First night double occupancy and remainder at single occupancy. The Contractor shall provide double occupancy rooms with two beds or one king size bed, chairs, lighting shall be adequate for reading. All furniture shall be in good condition and be no older than three years of age. Beds shall have no exposed springs or defective springs causing discomfort to the individual. Carpet shall not be soiled and have bare worn spots or frayed edges. All bath, shower and sink fixtures shall not show evidence of rust or mildew including the shower curtain. The Contractor shall provide rooms with controls to individually adjust heat/ac in each room. Daily maid/linen services shall be available. The contractor shall provide cable or satellite TV, alarm clocks, iron with standard size ironing boards in room. Provide a full private bathroom with tub, shower, sink and toilet in each room. Rooms shall be not located near or directly over/under noisy, heavy traffic areas such as a bar, dance floor or lounge. Room telephones shall have free local calling, calling card and 800 access. The lodging facility shall be located with a fifteen (15) minute surface commute of the National Naval Medical Center, 8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD during normal rush hours Monday thru Friday. Also, the lodging facility shall be located within a ten (10) minute walk of a metro rail station or the contractor agrees to provide at no cost on demand shuttle service to the nearest metro station. The facility shall be located within walking distance ten (10) minutes to five (5) full service restaurants/establishments. Two of these may be of the fast food variety. The contractor shall provide a twenty-four (24) hour a day staffed information/lobby desk where individuals must enter via the lobby to gain access to the facility. Room doors shall open to internal hallways accessible via the front lobby only. The contractor/facilities shall meet minimum State and Local standards for hotels. If an extra room is required the contractor shall be given a twenty-four (24) hour notice of the requirement, and the room is to be charged at the Government per diem rate. The extra room is to paid by the occupant. All companies interested in a copy of this solicitation can fax request to (301) 295-0286. All bids must be received by (4:30 pm EST) on 15 December 2000. Award company must have prior to receipt of award be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR), have Cage Code, DUNS Number and Federal Tax Identification Number. The Government will select the offeror which provide the greatest value to the Government. Cost/Price could become the determining factor in selection. The Government reserves the right to make an award without discussions and/or negotiation. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines set forth in Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be made in the form of a Government PUrchase Order.
