Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service invites bids on construction of a Water Treatment Facility at the Pittsford National Fish Hatchery in Chittenden, VT. The facility will treat up to 2400 gpm of water from Furnace Brook and provide treated water to the hatchery building and raceways. Water treatment includes solids removal by rotating drum microscreen filtration and ultraviolet disinfection. The work consists of site preparation; the construction of a pre-engineered, insulated, metal building approximately 3000 square feet in area; building foundation; floor slab and associated concrete work; all utilities including electrical, and mechanical; plumbing; and water distribution piping to the hatchery building and raceways to provide a fully operational facility. Construction is scheduled to begin March 1, 2001 and must be completed no later than July 15, 2001. The bid package will be issued o/a December 21, 2000 and opened o/a January 23, 2001. This is an unrestricted procurement and is open to all business sizes. Bidders who are determined to be responsible and responsive will be considered for award.
