Description

Maintenance Dredging, New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway. The plant and equipment to be furnished under this contract includes the Lease of a 12-14 inch hydraulic pipeline dredge with operating personnel and attendant Plant, Tugboat with operating personnel, Booster pump, D-4 dozer or equivalent with operator, crawler mounted dragline with operator, barge, steel drainage pipe, sluices and plastic sheeting. Dredging may also be required in waterways adjacent to the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway. Dredging of the Cape May Coast Guard dock area shall also be included. Solicitation documents will be furnished only on CD-ROM; hard copies will not be available. The official media of distribution for this solicitation is on CD-ROM. One copy of the CD-ROM will be furnished to each bidder at no charge. Register on-line (See LINKURL below) to receive a solicitation package, or submit a request in writing, by mail or fax to the attention of David Dilks (Fax 215-656-6780). All requests must include a physical street address, telephone and fax number, Federal Tax Identification number, business size, and reference the solicitation number. Failure to provide any changes in mailing address, phone number, or fax number may cause a delay in receiving the solicitation and amendments. Additional copies of the CD-ROM will be provided at a charge of $5.00/CD, made payable to "USACE Finance Center, Millington" sent to the above address. Your firm's Federal Tax Identification Number must be written on the check; personal checks must be annotated with the individual's Social Security Number. Payment will not be refunded and CD's need not be returned. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. The solicitation issue date is on or about 19 December 2000. Bids will be opened on or about 18 January 2001 at 11:00 A.M. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from at the website listed below on or after the issue date. In addition, Contractors may access all advertised solicitations for the Department of Army at the following website: http://acquisition.army.mil/amcdss/owa/refdb.sol_search_form. Completion time for this project is 210 calendar days. This procurement is set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 234990 with a size standard of $17.0 Million. The estimated range of the project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and bonding is required. Liquidated damages will be specified. Affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs Central Contract Register (http://www.ccr2000.com) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300
