Description

Project consists of reconstruction of storm damaged sites on the Happy Camp Ranger District. The work consists of clearing, removal of culverts, roadway excavation and embankment, placement of geotextile, producing and placing pitrun aggregate and riprap, reconditioning roadbed, installation of metal pipe up to 60 inches in diameter, polyethylene drain pipe, prefabricated underdrain, reconditioning and cleaning drainage structures, reinforced embankment, fabric-faced wall, and application of seed and mulch to distributed areas. Project is located on the Klamath National Forest, CA. From Interstate 5 travel west approximately 65 miles on State Highway 96 to Happy Camp; turn left on County Road 7C002 (Elk Creek Road) and proceed approximately 0.2 miles to County Road 7C001 and (China Creek Road); turn left on 7C001 and proceed approximately 6.7 miles to Forest Service Road 45N87; Turn right on 45N87 to access the project area. Price range is $100,000 to $250,000. Contract time is 128 calendar days with and estimated start date of April 15, 2001.
