- FOR SMALL BUSINESS COMPUTER MANUFACTURERS ONLY. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. THIS IS A MARKETING RESEARCH EFFORT FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is in the planning stage of a procurement process to find a single source of supply for ALL of USPTO's information technology (IT) desktop product requirements. The purpose of this announcement is to conduct market research to determine how many, if any, Small Business manufacturers of computer equipment exist that are qualified and capable of supplying all of USPTO's Information Technology (IT) Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware requirements. This market research shall be conducted at NO COST TO THE GOVERNMENT. IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, manufacturers MUST be able to provide ALL of the required items and MUST comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 52.219-14 and 19.502-2(c). Any responses from manufacturers that do not meet FAR 52.219-14 and 19.502-2(c), who cannot provide the following required items, or cannot meet the following additional requirements will be considered non-responsive. All required items shall be equal to or better than the products listed herein. Production Stipulations: Company must be able to absorb costs associated with massive order quantity fluctuation (up to 500 machines a week). Product Delivery Terms: The normal delivery expected is within 30 days, however, a company must be able to deliver up to 500 machines per week when given a 7 day lead time.
