Description

POC: Lisa Summers, (907) 487-5180,ext.303 DESC: The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision to furnish Microwave Training for Communication station Engineering on Communication station Kodiak_s Microwave System as described in the Statement of Work. Training is required due to the complexity of Communication station Kodiak_s unique microwave system and configuration. The training required must cover emergency repair, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance on the following systems / subjects as a minimum: Engineering Mathematics; Basic ALCATEL 4000 series Digital Microwave Radio; Telco 828 Multiplex; PulseCom Channel Banks; ALCATEL Automatic Protection Switch (APS) B302; ALCATEL TSM-2500 Transmission Status Monitor Computer System; Antenna and Repeater Systems. Other requirements will be listed in the Statement of Work. The length of the class should be approximately 8 to 10 days. Training must occur between February 5, 2001 and April 27, 2001. All necessary supplies must arrive before the beginning of the class starting date. SUBMITTALS DEMONSTRATING COMPETENCY IN THESE SUBJECTS AND INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS ARE DUE BEFORE AWARD. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska Estimated price is between $25,000 and $50,000. The proposed contract will be awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately December 18, 2000. Written quotes will be due on / about January 22, 2001.
