Description

The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL) has a requirement for expertise in the areas of standard-setting, performance assessment, and conducting large-scale field-based research in order to carry out work needed to develop and validate all components of the Equipped for the Future (EFF) assessment framework. This requirement shall include, but not be limited to, the following activities: validation of a performance continuum for the 16 EFF Standards; identification and validation of performance levels and benchmarks related to real-world performance; identification and development of assessment tools that enable us to reliably measure progress and attainment on these standards in relation to these benchmarks; and development of meaningful credentials based on these standards that certify achievements related to the world of work. Comments on the draft must be received by noon, December 11, 2000, by email, fax or regular mail to Sondra Stein's attention at the address below.
