Description

The National Park Service plans to issue a solicitation for a shuttle bus operation at Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. A meeting was held on November 2, 2000, to discuss our plans for the shuttle bus operation, and to seek industry comments on our plan and anticipated solicitation. The shuttle bus system will operate for approximately a 5 month period each year. The contractor will be required to provide buses, drivers, and mechanic's. Used buses will be acceptable. We plan to issue a solicitation for a 1 (one) year service contract for shuttle bus operations for service from May through September 2001. For a copy of the solicitation fax a request on your letterhead to Jim Clark 303 969-2063. Next spring (2001), we plan to issue a second solicitation for a 10 year shuttle bus service contract, base 5 years, plus 5 one year options. This will be our long range contract which will include several years of road construction and run from 2002 through 2011. We will issue an addition CBD notice when the second solicitation is available.
