Description
This is a solicitation (RFP) for the Target Retrieval Boat (TRB) and Target Operations. This solicitation opens on 1 Dec 2000 and closes on 3 Jan 2001 at 4:00 pm Japan Standard Time. The governments requirements are as follows: The contractor will be responsible to maintain and operate the Target Retrieval Boat (TRB), Seaborne Target Boats (SEPTAR), High Speed Maneuverable Surface Target Boats, and towed targets. The TRB is a US Navy registered offshore crew boat type craft with a modified _V_ type hull approximately 120 feet long and 123 gross tonnage powered by 4 main diesel engines and 2 diesel generators. The government will provide or reimburse the contractor for all parts, tools, and supplies used to maintain all boats and targets. Potential contractors shall have experience in maintaining and operating boats of similar type and size. All boats and targets will be maintained and operated from US Navy Port Facility White Beach, Okinawa, Japan. Operational areas include but are not limited to the waters surrounding Okinawa, Japan, South China Sea, Philippine Sea, and Sea of Japan. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with contract specifications and subject to the terms and conditions in the contract. Contractors will be responsible to provide seven (7) crewmembers in the following positions during all operations: (1) Boat Master (pilot), (2) Engineers, (1) Electrician, (3) Deck Seamen. Reference the Statement of Work (SOW) for position descriptions and qualifications. The contract will be awarded with 1 basic year and 4 option years.
